Location: Joubertsdam

Water temperature: High

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze Whaler sharks + Storm petrels

We were greeted on anchor by the usual Kelp gulls but also by the not so common sightings of Storm petrels

The first shark sighting happened quickly and activity didn’t stop for long throughout the entire trip

We had a mix of male and female Bronzies today, something interesting to see as we have been seeing mostly females over the last few months

The divers entered the cage just after the sharks appeared

We had some stunningly close passes throughout the morning

Not only did the sharks get nice and close to the cage we also had some jaws open action

The eight divers for the trip spent nearly the entire trip in the water

A big thank you to our guests today, we hope you enjoyed your trip with the MD team!
