24/10/2014

Location: Joubertsdam/ Geldsteen

Water Temperature: 15.6oC

Depth: 9.8m

Visibility: 1.5m

Number of Sharks: 2 + 1

Conditions: Calm seas this morning, with wind increasing as the day went on causing chopping seas in the afternoon.

The first trip today headed out to the shallows, but had no luck seeing sharks there. After a long wait we headed over to try our luck at the Geldsteen, and what luck we had! Shortly after arriving we had two very active sharks (including the well known ‘Jacob’) who amazed our guests and showed them that seeing our Great Whites was well worth the wait! The second trip had roughly the same luck, although our shark appeared after only a short wait, she did not hang around very long. The shark we saw on this trip was Nemo however! Always awesome to see this shark back around Slashfin!
