We had some of the best visibility that I have ever seen off these waters today! You know your visibility is fantastic if you are able to see the sea floor clearly and that at 10 meters depth! The sharks arrived in a matter of minutes and stayed throughout. We had the same 6 sharks initially and then the flood gates opened with a frenzy of sharks ranging in sizes from 3.5 meters all the way to massive 4.2 meter females. The weather conditions remained good throughout the trip and only at the very end did we start experiencing some swell on the water. We were also entertained by a hagfish in the water which was having a good time in our chum slick at the back of the boat! Awesome day today…

We were blessed with amazing water conditions today and that just made it easier for anyone struggling with ‘motion distress’! Our first shark of the trip was around the 2 meter mark and we gradually worked up to the bigger sharks as the trip progressed. Even the infamous ‘Slash Fin’ made a very brief appearance before bolting of towards the deeper waters. The sharks were coming nice and close to the cage and one of our clients took an amazing underwater picture, congratulations on that one! We also had a sighting of a hagfish in the water, which was a very bizarre looking fish to many people who were not familiar with it! Great day yet again…

Today the visibility in the Dam was less than desirable; however the sharks were on the scene very quickly! We had several sharks today, ranging in length between 2 and 3 meters. The larger sharks seemed to be preoccupied somewhere else. Most likely taking care of a couple of seals who wondered too far off course. We had a great treat today when a couple of hagfish were swimming in front of the cage. These fish are known locally as the “snot slang”, due to the fact that they secrete large amounts of slime when captured. That was a real treat for everyone on board. All and all it was a great day, with no Monday blues…
