We launched nice and early this morning with an exclusive trip for the Bieleny Family from Canada. It was a tad chilly as we headed out, however the seas were calm and the wind was relatively weak making a lovely morning out on the water! We had a lengthy wait this morning, but our hopes were not lost and just after we hit the two hour mark we were all surprised as a juvenile Great White ascended from the depths in an attempt to secure the decoy! This was the start of some great activity for the next hour as three sharks took it in turn to come by the front of the cage and investigate, with a large 4.2m individual truly capturing everyone’s attention! The second trip of the day was quickly greeted by a large female white shark that gave our first cage some fantastic passes, but sadly left our second cage wanting a bit more. After a brief wait however a couple other sharks arrived in the area and saw us through most of the remainder of the trip. Our first large female also returned to the cage towards the end of the trip and left us with some very happy divers! The highlight of the trip however was reported by a handful of our clients that a large white shark that had visited the cage minutes before breached almost fully towards the bow of the trip! It was definitely a very special treat. The third and final trip of the day was again met by two large female content on cruising around, dominating with their sheer size and power! Not to be out done by the big sharks we had two smaller, yet just as feisty juveniles come by soon after. A day full of big and small sharks and some in between…
