Leaving the harbour we were greeted by with a misty morning and excellent sea conditions. Today we mixed it up a little and decided to try the shallows for the sharks. Upon anchoring, the sun began to break through the mist and we were hopeful for the sharks to join us on this pleasant morning. With the scene set we discussed all things shark, from migrations and movements, to diets and the wider ecosystem. While our talks were fun, we were unable to locate our white shark friends, but we did make a nice tour of Dyer Island, our energetic seal colony and of course cruised through the legendary Shark Alley. All in all though a fantastic morning on the water, and a great day to observe some of our beautiful scenery. A happy 4th of July to all our American friends on Slashfin!!
