I can’t believe that I’m writing this, but we had zero sharks today. Everyone is quite interested to know where the sharks have gone. The explanations are too numerous to list, but could include reasons such as changing environmental conditions or certain predators or prey entering or leaving the bay. As a crew, we get very spoiled with how many sharks we get to see on a daily basis. Every time we launch, we understand that sharks are a wild animal in their natural environment and there are no guarantees to see them. Although today was humbling, it is also a good reminder of just how special it is to encounter white sharks with great regularity. Thank you to today’s wonderful clients on both trips. Your patience and understanding was greatly appreciated by our entire staff. I hope you all get to come back someday when we can show you just how magnificent the sharks are.
For the Trip 1 guests, congratulations to the winners of the international breath hold competition in the cage!
