Slashfin and Dream Catcher launched early this morning within an hour of each other, both heading out in the hopes of finding some sharks. It drizzled a little on the way out but cleared for most of the trip however as both boats were packing up the rain started again…good time to head back to land!

The Copper sharks were active today with some stunning views of these animals from the boat and under the water. We had a few of the larger females around but also some smaller individuals, perhaps between the 1.0m – 1.5m size range and a few males which has not been a common sighting over the last few months.

There appeared to be one White shark interested in visiting a boat this morning with Slashfin experiencing a handful of passes from what is believed to be a 3.2m male, one that was briefly seen yesterday. Unfortunately much like yesterday, he did not stick around, we hope to see more of this animal over the coming days and weeks.

A successful day for Marine Dynamics vessel’s Slashfin and Dream Catcher with one White shark sighting and numerous Copper sharks gracing us with their presence.
