Trip 1
It was a beautiful start to our day with a stunning sunrise across Kleinbaai Harbor. Fortunately there was a great view and a huge flock of Cape Cormorants passing by, because our first trip had to wait almost an hour before the first shark appeared. It was a shark we’ve seen quite a lot lately named “3-Bird.” She’s a 2.7 meter female with lots of scars on her right side and a few on her left side. She’s known for being cautious at first then sneak attacking the decoy and bait line. She was shortly followed by a newly adopted 2.4 meter shark called “A Shark Has No Name” (ASHNN). We were also visited by another recently adopted 2.4 meter female shark called “Sarko.” It’s always great to see sharks that have been adopted by clients!

Trip 2
Our second trip began quickly with just a 5 minute wait before “ASHNN” arrived. It didn’t take long before another shark arrived, a 3.2 meter male. This shark was adopted after the trip by a lovely couple and named “Jonny” after their son. We truly appreciate the support and hope we continue to see “Jonny” more! He stayed around the boat for quite some time and was a very active shark, jumping back and forth between the bait line and seal decoy. After about an hour a crew favorite “Scarlett” showed up and gave her usual “Scarlett” show, ensuring that everyone below and above the water got a great look at her. She was shortly followed 3 other sharks, 2 large ones – 3.5 meters & 3.8 meters- and one small one – 1.7 meters. We also spotted another huge flock of Cape Cormorants and a Cape Ganet. Another great end to a wonderful day at sea!
