A beautiful morning out on sea with some chilly but great conditions and a shark arriving just after we did. The first shark was the 3.0m female that has been sighted nearly ever trip since the sharks return 9 days ago. Unfortunately she did not stick around and disappeared after a few passes by our first cage. The second shark to arrive was another female, this one considerably larger yet just as quick with her visit! It was until the third and fourth shark arrived that things started to heat up with some fast paced passes and sightings above the water. Things went awefully quite during our third cage and with such cold waters many of our divers did not last too long so in went the fourth cage who began their chilly wait for a shark to appear. Not to let us down our first shark reappeared and made some nice attempts on the bait and decoy lines before disappearing into the depths and thus ending our trip for the morning.
The second trip of the day experienced the same short wait at the beginning of the trip with three different sharks sighted within the first half an hour, including some of the same individuals from the first trip such as the reoccuring 3.0m female. The activity did slow down much the same as the first trip, we must remember that the shark numbers are still low in the bay after the 23 day period of no sightings, however by the end of the afternoon six different White sharks were seen throughout the trip.
Another successful day out in the bay.
