After a bit of a wait this morning, Sarko joined us for some beautiful passes but was only with us for a short period. We were however entertained by the lovely copper sharks that we’ve been seeing of late as well as the Stingrays! The award goes to the large female with the bent right pectoral fin for this morning’s trip though, as she gave us some fabulous spy-hopping trying to check us out both on the boat and our divers in the cage. We also had some interesting avian life around us today too, with some white chinned petrels and a Kaspian Tern.

On our second trip we were joined pretty quickly by a very small and pale female, gliding around and trying to get a good look at the cage divers. She was very graceful and curious, a super little white shark. Again our Copper friends were very interested in Slashfin this morning with 4 different individuals spotted around the boat. Next up was a 3.2m female who gave us some excellent aerial activity, and stuck around for a decent amount of time on this trip!

For trip number three we were joined straight away by a steady succession white sharks, with 4 in total after just 10 minutes on anchor. With 2 new sharks joining us since the sharks started coming back into the area, it’s another good sign! Shark number 3 was just a quick one but we still managed to grab a couple of excellent photos of her! Our fourth and final shark was the same small female that we had on the second trip today, again very curious as to what was going on around Slashfin!
