Number of Sharks: 0
Conditions: A sunny morning with north west winds causing chop and slight swell.

The shallows were calling our name this morning, but unlike overdramatised hollywood mumbojumbo, we went out in search of the white sharks we know and love. After our short smooth ride over in gorgeous sunshine, we anchored and got prepped to go cage diving! Having being introduced to the area and the kinds of things we’d be getting up to this morning, we were greeted by our first shark just 20 minutes after anchoring. The fascinating events in the bay continue as the copper sharks still join us almost every trip! It is really wonderful to observe these slender sharks in action, with size ranges between 2.5-3m, they’re awesome to observe in absence of our white shark friends. The stingrays were back this morning too, just as inquisitive as the copper sharks and super graceful as the glide by the cage. The copper sharks were on form this morning, giving our cage divers some fantastic opportunities to snap some open jaws and those stunning eyes. While our white sharks were still somewhat elusive this morning, it was a great trip out on the water and excellent to observe the diversity of life that we have out here in the bay…
