The weather really came through for us this lovely Saturday morning as the swell dropped to the lowest it has been in close to a week now, with a slight and refreshing breeze and the sun shining. We headed to the back of the Islands, arriving at our dive site to a bait ball and an amazing view of hundreds of birds of varying species including Albatrosses, Giant petrels and White Chin petrels. Once on anchor we enjoyed the beautiful conditions but unfortunately no White sharks were seen, some of our more water-brave guests decided on testing out the cage and water and the visibility was such that they could see to the seafloor some 12m below! Before heading back to the harbour we spotted two Humpback whales and two Southern Right whales as well as the thousands of Cape Fur seals basking in the sun on Geyser rock and enjoying the calm waters of Shark Alley.

The second trip of the day launched and headed back to anchor behind the Islands to continue trying to attract any White sharks. Whilst the bird life was stunning and the conditions were still great this trip aswell has no such luck with Whark sightings. Before heading back to land Slashfin cruised through Shark Alley to have a closer look at the Cape Fur seal colony.

Sadly, no White sharks sightings to report however it was a beautiful day to spend out on the water in Kleinbaai. Thank you to all our guests for joining us.

Big Happy Birthday to Victor on our Second trip. We got some excellent underwater Happy Birthdays!
