The sun was already shining bright when we headed out to sea. Everyone was super excited and couldn’t wait to see beautiful sharks. As we reached our dive location our guests quickly geared up and were ready to enter the cage. Fortunately, copper sharks did not make us wait for too long and we were ready to start our shark cage diving experience. Sharks were nice and active coming really close to the cage causing some occasional shouts of excitment from our divers. Besides the beautiful copper sharks, we were lucky to see a Cape Fur seal quickly swimming by our boat. Once everyone got their chance in the cage we were ready to head back to the harbour to greet our next group of guests.
As we headed out back to our dive location the wind picked up a little bit making our ride just a tiny bit more fun. As soon as we got to the dive site and our guests jumped in their wetsuits, the first sharks arrived, competing for the baits on each side of the cage. Our skillful bait-handlers made sure that sharks came up close enough to the divers so they could appreciate the beauty of these stunning animals. As the trip proceeded a Short-Tailed stingray made its way to the surface and visited our boat. Once again we left our cage behind to go back to the harbour so our excited divers could enjoy their delicious soup and bread back at Great White House.
The waves sprayed across the bow of Slashfin as we made our way back to our dive site for our last trip of the day. The crew attached the cage to the vessel and our guests got into their wetsuits. Very quickly our visitors arrived. Both Copper sharks and a Short-tailed stingray rose up near the cage, and our divers jumped into the cage. Our divers were amazed by the beauty of both species, and the copper sharks became more and more active as the trip progressed. Soon we headed back to dry land, where some ginger ale was waiting for our guests, and some fantastic homemade bread and soup.
