With yesterdays success we were all excited to head back out onto the water to see the White sharks! Today saw a shark around the boat within approximately 15 minutes of anchoring! This was an animal we know very well, “Francois”, a small juvenile male that was tagged with a acoustic tag on the first of December last year. This little male stuck around the entire trip however he chose his moments to make an appearance and they were few and far! We also had another juvenile show up not long after “Francois”. This shark was a little larger and had a hook on the right side of its’ mouth as well as some dark scaring along the right side of its trunk. This shark was just as shy as “Francois” and would cruise on by but make no attempt to come to the surface. We also had what appeared to be close to four difference Short Tailed stingrays today, that continuously glided around the boat and came up infront of the cage as well as what appeared to be a Root-mouth jellyfish. Whilst the activity was on the slow side today, we were so very happy to actually see sharks, and were lucky enough to be one of only a few boats who got to see the Whites! Great to finally be able to see these beautiful creatures again…
