The morning trip started with a little wait for our Great White sharks. But as soon as we had them around the cage they were active and great to watch. The sharks we had around the boat today were investigating our bait and decoy, as well they were moving gracefully in front of the cage. All seven sharks we had, were juveniles with the biggest one around 3.5m. In the middle of our trip we also spotted a pod of bottlenose dolphins passing by the boat, how lucky. All in all it was a good trip and a great day out at sea.

The second trip was off to a great start before we had even handed out wetsuits with a White shite cruising around the back of the boat. THis trip saw constant activity with a shark in view most of the time. We saw the likes of “Mini Nemo”, “Gray” and “Floppy”, some of our all-time and current favourites but one of the stars of this trip was the largest shark for the day and also the largest we have documented this year, a female easily the size of the cage, this is the second shark of the week we have seen, both very similar in size however one is covered in bite scars that we saw the other day yet this one is uncharacteristically clean for a shark of that size, a truly beautiful sighting.

On our third and last trip for the day we had great shark activity. The Great White sharks were around the boat immediately and active throughout. Our biggest individual was estimated to be around four meters. In total we encountered eight different sharks and spotted a short tailed stingray coming up to have a closer look what’s going on at the surface.
