Daily Blog 30 May 2017 Trip 1 | Shark Diving Gansbaai

Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 15.5 C
Depth: 11m
Visibility: 0-0.5m
Number of Sharks: 2
Conditions: a bit of a swell but warm and sunny

Today, we saw the 3.5m shark with the half pectoral fin again as well as another shark who quickly stopped by before leaving us again. The 3.5m spent a little more time in the area, checking out the bait and decoy from below and cruising just below the surface in the chum slick.

On the way back into the harbour, the mist began to blanket the bay which made for an amazing sunset. Pink was the colour of the day and even the ocean seemed to have a Rosie tint to it.

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Shark Diving in Gansbaai, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss.
