The day started off slow, but we felt lucky to have had two sharks around the cage. We received word from two other companies saying they had a complete mistrip, and one other company who said they only had one shark around the boat. The sky was overcast and the water was dark, but just after two hours of waiting on the boat we had our first shark. A 2.8 meter great white, whom we have seen on one other previous trip, circled around the bait line. The excitement on the diver’s faces as they were lowering themselves down into the cage was astounding. This curious shark stayed around the boat for the entire trip. In between waiting for another shark to arrive we had a giant petrol relaxing in the choppy water in front of the cage. After about 10 minutes of sitting in the water and snagging some loose ends off the bait line, the giant petrol was spooked away by our second shark of the day. The 3.8 meter shark swam calmy by the decoy and went straight to the bait line. It may have been a slow day but everyone seemed very excited. We’d like to thank everyone for joining us on board, and we hope you enjoyed your day!
