After two days of heavy west winds it was great to get back on the water! The sharks didn’t take long to show up for us this morning, but they certainly were having a lazy day, taking their time between passes. The visibility unfortunately dropped over the weekend and was very limited for the divers, making them appreciate their 6mm wetsuits even more as they patiently waited for the sharks to get up close and personal! We had one female in particular, around 3.7m, who was providing the majority of the activity throughout the day. She kept the divers anxiously waiting in suspense between passes but she arrived each time with a bang, providing either an up close pass for the cage or a jump on the bait line. When working with wildlife it’s always run by nature’s time scale, and nothing can teach you better that patience is virtue…
