You know it’s going to be a good day when it starts off with a large pod of Bottlenose dolphins, barely 2 minutes out the harbour! Once at the dive site, our luck continued as we had our acoustically tagged shark from Port Elizabeth circling us before we had even finished setting up the cage. The largest shark of the day was one we didn’t recognize well, a 4.4m beauty who looked to have somewhat of a fresh bite by her dorsal fin. She stayed swimming deeper down, not actually coming to the surface for us, but even from the depths you could tell this shark was impressively large! We had lots of up close and personal passes in front of the cage today and “Little Roundy” turned up the end to provide us with a grand finale! The little guy came out of nowhere and leaped for the decoy, almost giving us a full breach right in front of the cage! It doesn’t get much better than that…

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Shark Diving in Gansbaai, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss. Book online with us and get a free video of your encounter with the world’s apex predator.
