Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 17.8’C
Depth: 12.2m
Visibility: 1m
Number of Sharks: 7+6
Conditions: Sunny with wind

The sharks did not keep us in suspense this morning, spotting our first shark just 10 minutes after setting up the cage! The visibility was slightly limited in Joubertsdam but that didn’t seem to matter as the sharks were giving passes right up close to the cage, and it’s pretty hard to miss a 4.0m shark swimming right in front of your face! The largest shark of the day turned up towards the end of the trips and was an impressive 4.5m. We had a very brave little junior diver on board with us for our second trip; Joshua is only 3 years old but insisted on getting in the cage with mum today, and next to him those Great Whites looked even larger! Goes to show that Great White shark cage diving is a fun filled family activity…

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Cage Diving South in Africa, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss. Book online with us and get a free video of your encounter with the world’s apex predator.
