We had around an hour of wait time, in the beautifully shining sun, before we had our first shark turn up this morning. The first appearance was from “Little Roundy” who gave a couple nice passes but didn’t seem interested in performing for us today as he did not stick around as per usual. Although there was a wait time involved between passes from the sharks, we still managed to view five different Great White sharks on both trips, with our largest shark being an impressive 4.5m and passing right up close to the cage! The unusually warm waters for this time of year allowed for a few guest appearances by a Short-tailed stingray (Dasyatis brevicaudata) and two different Bronze Whaler sharks (Carcharhinus brachyurus), giving the divers on our first trip some unexpected variety! Just goes to show, you never can predict what you’ll be seeing out on the water with Marine Dynamics…
