This was an exceptional trip with beautiful calm conditions and not a breath of wind. I expected that perhaps the clear visibility from the previous week would have deteriorated, however it still remained very clear and our divers were able to see the sharks very well from the cage. One of the questions we frequently get asked on returning to shore is “how many sharks did you have?” on replying “three” you can usually expect the reaction, “Why.. was it slow?”. The truth is, you do not need many white sharks to make a cage diving trip special, it is the characters of the individual sharks which make the trip. Today we had two very relaxed and inquisitive females, one was 3.0m and the other was over 4.0m in length. They both took turns to repeatedly glide past the cage and approach the decoy giving our divers amazing diving opportunities. These kind of trips are the best in my opinion, and i’m sure all aboard today would fully agree!
