Upon our arrival at our dive sight we encountered a brief shower, thereafter the heavens parted to reveal a spectacular shark cage diving trip. The sharks were very quick to arrive on the scene; we barely had the anchor down before they started chasing after “Sally” (our seal decoy). No massive sharks today, but the smaller individuals were relentless in their pursuit of both the bait and the decoy lines. The added bonus of spotting a Grey Headed Gull and an actual predation made the day even more special. The young pup seal seemed to be injured as it helplessly floated with the current into the jaws of a Great White Shark. Just the spray of red water and it was over; nature had taken its course.
