Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 16.5’C
Depth: 11.3m
Visibility: 3.0m
Number of Sharks: 7+6
Conditions: Cool with wind

The sun was shining nice and bright today; combining this with the improved visibility in the water made the perfect recipe for shark viewing. Ironically the two sharks giving us the most activity were both our smallest and our largest sharks in the count. The largest Great White was a 4.0m male, who loved to come up from the deep to try and surprise Khwezi on the bait line! We were also lucky enough to spot a Giant petrel using the strong winds to soar by us, and a young Common tern who decided to test his luck by landing in front of the cage; it would appear luck was on his side today.  It was a great day on the water…
