We left from Gansbaai harbour this morning due to the low tide and made the beautiful journey round Danger Point to our dive site in Joubertsdam. Unfortunately the morning trip was dampened slightly by minimal visibility from dirty water in the bay, but the sharks were coming close enough to the cage, almost rubbing against it, that the experience was worth it all the same! The strong South East winds in the afternoon cleared up the visibility for us and there was a lot to look at! We had multiple sharks coming round the cage, ranging from 1.9m to 3.7m and a friendly Short-tailed Stingray that kept testing out the decoy and bait line, we even had a large flock of Cape gannets plunge diving for fish right in front of the boat! It seemed no matter where you looked, to the ocean or to the sky, there was entertainment everywhere…
