This morning’s conditions were great and even better we had a very large number of active sharks visit during the trip. Numerous times throughout the morning we were treated to the sight of more than one shark around the cage, at one point having three only metres from each other. We had brought aboard our hydrophone in the hope of detecting “Rosi”, one of our acoustically tagged sharks that we have previously seen in Geldsteen on two occasions within the past week. Unfortunately we did not pick up on her but did have two sharks with satellite tags attached to their dorsal fins. Towards the end of the trip was when we caught sight of our largest Great White of the day, a 4.5m female with an old bite scar above her right pectoral fin. What can I say, another beautiful day at Geldsteen…
