Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 15.4oC

Depth: 9.8m

Visibility: 1m

Number of Sharks: 6 + 10

Conditions: Overcast, with some rainfall, rough seas and high winds, but conditions calmed down for the second trip, particularly towards the end.
The first trip of the day headed out to our dive site in the shallows and had a brief wait before our first shark appeared around the boat! Unfortunately the sharks were a bit flighty and didn’t stay around the boat too long, but still some fantastic sights for our passengers, even if the weather was a bit wet and rainy. The second day launched out and headed to the dive site just as the rainfall was clearing. There was only a short wait until our first shark of the day arrived, a small shark who only stuck around for a few passes before moving on. This behavior was unfortunately displayed by most of our sharks early on, but the appearence of some more active, much larger sharks brought a whole new vibe to the trip, especially when the seas and winds calmed and the sun came out. Definitly showes its hard to have a bad trip with these beautiful creatures!
