We could honestly have not asked for a nicer day out on the water than what we experienced today! The sun was shining, the seas were flat, the water temperature continues to rise and there were sharks from the get go! Our first shark of the day is one seen 2 days ago which has a very interesting and distinctive injury to its dorsal fin in which it has been sliced vertically mid way leaving the distal part to fold down leaving a very small upright part of the fin at the front. This shark has been dubbed “Free Willy” due to the flopped fin. Our largest shark of the day was a 5m female who was more than happy to come right up next to the cage to show our divers just how big she truly is! We also had a quick visit from “Anarchy”, one of our acoustically tagged sharks, who is always great to have around the boat to show divers the tag and also to show an injury sustained to her caudal fin in which the upper lobe is missing. We visited the Alley to have a look at the seals on Geyser Rock before heading back into the harbour to finish off our wonderful trip for the day…
