Number of Sharks: 16 + 8

 

Conditions: Swelly seas, very overcast with intermittent rain and high winds throughout the morning, calmer conditions in all aspects in the afternoon. 

 

Today’s morning trip met some cold weather, choppy seas and high winds, rainfall added to the mix for an all round soggy trip… But that couldn’t put a damper on our sharks! Sixteen different sharks visited Slashfin this morning, and they were amazing! With repetative breaches while attempting to get hold of the bait line or the decoy, many of these sharks showed our divers some really fantastic views of just how amazing they are! This morning was cold and wet but the sharks definitly made up for it! The afternoon trip saw much nicer conditions, and fewer sharks. But that dosn’t mean it was any less a fantastic trip! the sun came out with a large female being really quite active infront the boat, one we knew from months ago and haddn’t seen in a while, named “Flap”. This shark was around for most of the day, energetically going for the decoy and giving everyone on board and in the cage a truely fantastic show of the amazing Great Whites!
